Director of Talent Acquisition Operations & Compliance

ApplyStaples is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition Operations & Compliance to lead our recruiting infrastructure, including operations, systems, compliance, and vendor management. This role ensures hiring practices are efficient, scalable, and compliant while delivering a strong experience for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
What You’ll Do
Lead TA operations, compliance, reporting, and process improvement
Advise on TA Marketing strategies
Translate hiring needs into scalable, efficient recruiting processes
Drive continuous improvement across workflows and service delivery
Oversee ATS, CRM, background screening, and AI-enabled recruiting tools
Lead system enhancements, integrations, and workflow improvements
Partner with systems to modernize recruiting infrastructure
Evaluate new technologies to support evolving hiring needs
Oversee background screening, audits, and escalations
Establish governance, controls, and documentation
Monitor regulatory changes and mitigate risk
Optimize vendor value and delivery
Coach and develop talent to strengthen team capability
Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
What You Bring
Strong knowledge of recruiting compliance and regulatory requirements
Experience leading system implementations or process redesigns
Experience managing vendors, contracts, and service delivery
Proven cross-functional partnership
Experience
10+ years in TA Operations, HR Operations, Recruiting Operations, HR Compliance, or similar experience
5+ years of people leadership experience
Experience managing TA systems (ATS, CRM)
Experience using data and metrics to drive process improvements
