What you will be doing:

As a Marketing Analyst III, you will play a critical role in helping Staples make smarter, data-driven marketing decisions. You will partner with business leaders across Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, CRM, and Operations to transform complex business questions into actionable insights that improve customer engagement, campaign effectiveness, and overall business performance.

  • Lead the measurement and optimization of marketing campaigns from test design through analysis and recommendations.
  • Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to measure incremental impact and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, quantify business impact, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions that provide actionable business insights.
  • Build scalable data processes and automation solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and reporting accuracy.
  • Create measurement frameworks to assess marketing performance and customer behavior across channels.
  • Conduct customer segmentation, profiling, and campaign performance analyses to support strategic business objectives.
  • Translate analytical findings into compelling stories and executive-level recommendations.
  • Support data governance, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation efforts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that advance the organization's analytics capabilities.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, customer, business, or marketing analytics, including hands-on experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, or similar technologies.

  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement, customer analytics, campaign analysis, and experimental design.

  • Experience with large-scale datasets, relational databases, data warehouses, and advanced SQL.

  • Proficiency in Python, Microsoft Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI for analytics, automation, reporting, and visualization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting B2B marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, CRM, or Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives.
  • Experience working with Customer Data Platform (CDP) solutions.
  • Familiarity with email and direct mail marketing operations and performance measurement.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Git, or other cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and marketing attribution methodologies.
  • Experience developing automated reporting and workflow automation solutions.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance analytics, reporting, and business insights.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
